To choose an affiliate niche you can follow the Red and Blue Ocean Strategy. Think about an E-commerce store that is a big ocean and sells several kinds of products like Clothes, Mobile Phones, Accessories, Cosmetics, Grocery items and many other things.

Now, identify your interests and passions. Here my interest is Clothes as this will make it easier and more enjoyable for me to create content and promote products.

But that is not enough to promote, because there are lots of competitors in this category. So I have to narrow down this category.

I have researched the demand for the niche and selected Kid’s Clothes Category.

Suggestion:

Check if there is a sufficient market demand for the products or services in the niche you are considering. Look for keywords related to the niche and check their search volume on a keyword tool. You can use Google Keyword Planner for free or if have enough money you can buy a paid one like Semrush or Ahrefs.

Look for competition in the niche, but not too much. There should be enough competition to indicate that the niche is profitable, but not so much that it will be difficult for you to get a foothold.

Research the average sale price of products in the niche, as well as the commission rates offered by affiliates. Calculate the potential profit margin to determine if the niche is financially viable for you.

You should think about the long-term potential of the niche. Is it a trend or a lasting market? You want to choose a niche that has staying power, so you can build a sustainable business.

Finally, I narrowed down my category and selected boy kids’ clothes.
